Napa Police Log: Man Buys Pizza with Bogus Bills

Arrest information from the Napa Police Department does not indicate a conviction.

A 21-year-old man was arrested Sunday night for “fictitious bill” and burglary, according to a shift log released Monday morning by the .

At about 9:45 p.m., police said, Kasey Evans ordered a pizza at on Lincoln Avenue and brought out fake currency to pay for it – for the second day in a row:

“The restaurant employees had realized earlier that a pizza had been purchased the previous night with a similar bill,” according to the log.

When police arrived, Evans “admitted to using the bills both on this date and yesterday. He claimed to have found the bills in an envelope on the ground and knew they were fake,” the log continued.
