Napa Police Log: July 23-24, 2011

Prescription fraud, burglary and domestic violence: Arrest information from the Napa Police Department does not indicate convictions.

A 55-year-old Napa man was arrested Saturday for trying to obtain prescription medication by fraud and violating his three probations, according to that day’s shift activity log released by the :

On 07-23-11 at about noon, the pharmacist from , 4050 Bel Aire Plaza, called to report that Gregory Charles Thurow, 8-1-55 Napa Resident, was attempting to obtain controlled prescription drugs fraudulently.

Under Miranda, the suspect admitted to using all his medication and then filling the empty bottle with a different type of pill and returning it to the pharmacy to try and claim they had given him the wrong drug type.

He was on three separate probations in Napa County.

Thurow was arrested for the above charges and booked without incident.

Around 7 p.m. Sunday a Napa woman was arrested for domestic violence, according to police:

At about 1900 hrs a domestic altercation took place at the 1000 block of Combs Street. Jacoabo Maricruz 07/31/80 was arrested for allegedly hitting her husband in the head with a glass and scratching him. She was booked at NCDC.

At about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, a Napa resident arrived home to find a suspected burglar in his apartment, according to police:

Resident at the 2400 Block of Old Sonoma Street arrived home and discovered that a subject was inside his apartment.

The subject a JUVENILE was captured. It was determined that the juvenile was attempting to steal items.

He was booked at the for burglary and violation of probation.
