Napa Police Log: Cocaine, Meth, Syringe Alleged in Arrests

In separate arrests, Napa police jailed 39-year-old Jason Farrell, 23-year-old Fernando Ruiz-Marquez and 59-year-old David McClurg on suspicion of crimes including possession of cocaine and methamphetamine. Arrest information does not indicate convictions

 

Napa police arrested several drug suspects over the weekend, according to shift activity logs released by the .

Saturday at about 10:20 p.m., a 39-year-old Napa man was jailed on suspicion of transportation and possession of a controlled substance, possession of a syringe, driving with a suspended license and violation of parole, police said:

On 07/07/12 about 2220 hours NPD SEU Officers stopped the suspect, Jason Farrell 39 years old of Napa, in a vehicle for VC violations.

Farrell was on Napa County Probation with search and seizure terms and his CDL was suspended.

A search of the vehicle revealed suspected methamphetamine and a hypodermic syringe. Farrell was placed under arrest and booked at .  

At 7:50 p.m. Saturday, the police log reports the arrest of a 23-year-old Napa man on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, bringing a controlled substance into the jail and violation of probation:

On 07/07/12 about 1950 hours NPD Officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of Chablis Dr. regarding possible drug activity.

Upon arrival the Officers contacted the suspect, Fernando Ruiz-Marquez 23 years old of Napa.

Marquez dropped a small bag of suspected cocaine upon being contacted.

He was on Napa County Probation.

Marquez was placed under arrest and transported to NCDC. During a booking search at NCDC another bag of suspected cocaine was located.

A third arrest of a Napa man for possession of a controlled substance came at 11:40 p.m. Sunday, according to the police log:

On 07/08/12 about 2340 hours an NPD Officer stopped the suspect, David McClurg 59 years old of Napa, for driving a vehicle during the hours of darkness without headlights.

A search of McClurg’s person revealed a small baggie of suspected methamphetamine.

McClurg was placed under arrest and booked at NCDC.

Arrest information does not indicate convictions.
