Napa Police Log: Arrests June 1-2

The following arrest information was supplied by the Napa Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

An inebriated man was jailed Wednesday for being drunk in public and possessing a controlled substance, according to police shift activity reported by the :

On 6-1-11 at approximately 1700 hours, officers were flagged down by a citizen near the Napa Town Center. The citizen reported that there was an intoxicated subject nearby. Officers contacted Philip Deyerle (49 years) and found he was in possession of an open container of alcohol. Deyerle was intoxicated and unable to care for himself or others. Deyerle was placed under arrest for public intoxication. A search of Deyerle’s person revealed he was in possession of 3 Hydrocodone pills. Deyerle was later booked at the .

Thursday morning, a man was jailed for ossessing a controlled substance and paraphernalia and for violating his probation, according to police:

On 6-2-11 at approximately 0917 hours, officers conducted a probation search at Rueben Gonzalez’s (49) residence in the 2900 block of Hilltop Dr. During the search, Gonzalez was found to be in possession of a glass pipe used for smoking methamphetamine and a controlled substance. Gonzalez was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, and for violation of probation.

On 6-2-11 at approximately 1334 hours, officers contacted Nicholas McAlister (24) during a traffic stop. Upon contact, officers observed a small amount of marijuana in McAlister’s vehicle. McAlister gave officers consent to search his person and vehicle. Officers located 24 Oxycodone pills on his person. McAlister does not possess a prescription for the pills and had text messages on his phone referencing the sale of the Oxycodone.

McAlister was arrested for possessing, transporting and selling a controlled substance, according to police.
