A 23-year-old Napa man was arrested Tuesday for burglary, possession of stolen property and a parole hold after police responded to a report that a theft was in progress at a shoe store, according to the media log released after the incident by the Napa police department:
“On 4-5-11 at about 1432 hours, Famous Footwear in the reported a theft in progress. A description of the suspect was provided and he was located by responding units in a neighboring store. The suspect, Glenn Jones Jr, 23 yrs Napa Resident, was located wearing the stolen property. Jones, who was on parole was arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property, and a parole hold.”
The log also describes a drug arrest that stemmed from a vehicle stop Monday night:

“On 4-4-11 at about 2119 hours, officers observed a vehicle driving with an inoperable light to the rear and the driver was stopped in the 3400 block of Villa Lane. During the vehicle stop, the passenger, Nicholas Pauls 18 yrs Napa Resident, was located and during a consent search, a glass smoking pipe and a small amount of suspected methamphetamine was located. He was arrested and booked without incident.”
The charge was transportation of a controlled substance, according to the log.
