Napa Police Investigating Alleged Child Sexual Abuse

Suspect is 27-year-old Napa man; alleged victim is 12-year-old female.

A 27-year-old Napa man was arrested this week on suspicion of having lewd or lascivious acts with a 12-year-old girl.

Alfredo Emanuel Ortiz was taken into custody around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at a home in the 2000 block of Clay Street in Napa.


On Wednesday, Napa Police Department Detectives investigated a reported sexual abuse of a 12-year-old female that occurred at a residence in the 2000 block of Clay Street.

The victim reported she was sexually abused by the suspect who was friends with her mother since she was 6 years old.

Evidence was gathered by investigators that led them to Alfredo Ortiz. At about 3 p.m., Wednesday, Ortiz was contacted in the 2000 block of Clay Street by detectives and was taken into custody without incident.

He was booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections.
Child Protective Services is assisting with the case.
