Napa Police: Intruder Arrested

A 45-year-old transient man was arrested Thursday for trespassing, according to a media log released Monday by the :

On 4-28-11 at about 1430 hours, a resident discovered a male inside his residence in the 300 Block of Monroe St. The male advised he was looking for a friend, whom he named, but this person was not familiar to the victim. The victim told the suspect to leave, which he did, and then the victim called police. Based on the description provided by the victim, Richard Marquardt 45 yrs transient, was located in the area and detained. The victim identified him as the person found inside his residence, but declined prosecution. Police were contacted later in the day and advised the victim decided to press charges and the case has been sent to the DA’s Officer for review.
