Napa Police: Hit & Run Driver Injures 2 Before Arrest

Arrest information from the Napa Police Department does not indicate a conviction.

A 22-year-old Napa man was jailed Monday afternoon after a hit and run accident in north Napa left two people with minor injuries, according to a shift activity log released by the : 

On 8-22-2011 at about 1526 hours, Napa Police were called regarding a hit and run accident that had just occurred in the area of Jefferson at El Capitan. 

Witnesses stated the vehicle was last seen southbound on Jefferson Street.

Officers located the suspect vehicle driving southbound on California Boulevard near Pueblo and a vehicle enforcement stop was conducted. 

The driver, Brian Sapians, 4-2-89, was detained.

He admitted to being involved in the accident and leaving the scene. 

He is on felony probation in Napa County and was positively identified by witness as the responsible driver. 

He was arrested and booked into .

According to police, the driver and passenger of the vehicle Sapians admitted hitting were taken by to , where they were treated for minor injuries and released.
