UPDATE: Napa Police, Fire Officials to Lead Tonight's BottleRock Public Meeting

Meeting is 5:30 p.m. at Expo's Chardonnay Hall.

Napa Police Capt. Steve Potter and Napa Fire Dept. Division Chief John Callanan will conduct an informational public meeting Wednesday on plans for the BottleRock Napa Valley music festival.

Wednesday's meeting will be 5:30 p.m. in Chardonnay Hall at the where the festival runs May 8-12.

Potter and Callanan said the purpose of the meeting is to discuss the following police and fire concerns and issues:

--Quality of Life Impacts

--Security Issues

--Parking

--Traffic and Roadway Closures

 --Fire and Emergency Medical Services Response.

There will be time allotted for questions during the meeting and staff will be available after the meeting for further discussion.

It was led by BottleRock organizers and the field operations team.

The Napa Police Department and Napa Fire Department said today they will take the lead for next week's BottleRock Napa Valley public meeting.

The informational public meeting will be in Chardonnay Hall at the Napa Valley Expo at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17.

Napa Valley Police Capt. Jeff Troendly said the purpose of this meeting is to discuss the following public safety concerns and issues:

--Surrounding neighborhood concerns

--Fire and Emergency Medical Services response

--Parking issues

--Road closures

--Traffic circulation

"There will be time allotted for questions during the meeting and staff will be available after the meeting for further discussion," Troendly said.

The first public meeting -- and the first public address by the BottleRock Napa Valley organizers -- was held Monday at the Expo Center.

Numerous speakers out of about 300 in attendance raised concerns over traffic, neighborhood disruption,  security and parking -- among other issues.

The inaugural BottleRoack Napa Valley music festival will be May 8 through 12 at the Expo Center.
