Napa Police: Drunk Dad Hits Boat, Flees with Son

On 08/17/11 about 2120 hours the suspect, Steve Michael Potts 34 years old of Napa, was driving a vehicle in the area of Jefferson Street/Rubicon Street.

Potts had his 13 year old son in the vehicle with him.

Potts collided into a parked boat and trailer and fled the scene without exchanging the information required by law.

Witnesses followed Potts who pulled over several blocks away due to a flat tire on his vehicle.

Potts was identified as the driver and displayed symptoms of intoxication.

Potts was evaluated for driving under the influence of alcohol and placed under arrest.
