Napa PD: Domestic Violence Arrest on Mother's Day

A Napa man was arrested Sunday evening for domestic violence and damaging a phone while a victim was calling 911, according to a media log released Tuesday by the :

On 050811 at approximately 1930 hours NPD officers were dispatched to a 911 call in the 2000 block of Seville Drive. Officers contacted (S) Diaz, Roberto (28) of Napa, at the residence. The victim reported that the suspect and she had been arguing. The argument turned physical and she was assaulted which resulted in a minor visible injury to her face. The victim had attempted to call 911 during the assault by using her cell phone but the suspect took the phone away from her and attempted to disable the phone.

Diaz was arrested at the scene, according to the police log.
