Napa PD: Arrests for Drugs, DUI

The following arrest information was provided by the Napa Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Two men known to Napa police were arrested in separate stops Thursday, according to a media log released Friday by the .

At about 2:30 p.m. according to the log,

 A NPD officer observed Justin Kent, 21 yrs Napa Resident, riding his bicycle in the area of the 100 block of South Hartson. Kent was known by this officer to be on Napa County probation with search and seizure terms. Kent was stopped and admitted to having a small baggie of a controlled substance (suspected cocaine) in his pants.

 Police collected the evidence and arrested Kent for possession of a controlled substance and violation of probation, according to the log, which goes on to record the 4:35 p.m. arrest of a homeless man found driving under the influence:

A NPD officer observed Joseph Pritchett, 48 years Transient, driving on a suspended driver’s license in the area of Soscol and Imola. A vehicle stop was conducted and during the traffic enforcement stop, it was determined that Pritchett was intoxicated.

Pritchett was booked for DUI, violation of probation and violation of parole, according to the log.
