Napa PD: $500 Reward for Burglary Arrest

One man is in custody and there is a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the second suspect, according to police.

Napa police have named two men in connection with the last weekend as well as with a number of earlier commercial burglaries in Napa.

Jason Alan Hellmann, 38, and Andrew Jason Saxon, 40, are suspects in the interrupted May 28 burglary in the 800 block of Coombs Street, according to a press release issued Thursday by the .

Hellmann, who was identified as a suspect in the crime by an eyewitness, is still at large, according to the release, which offers a $500 reward for information leading to his arrest.

Saxon was booked into the as an accessory after the fact, with bail set at $100,000, police said.

During the investigation, detectives gathered additional information linking the pair to other past burglaries in Napa, which enabled police to obtain three search warrants, according to the press release.

The search warrants were served Thursday by police officers, Napa Police Special Investigations Unit and sheriff’s deputies at Saxon’s apartment in the 200 block of Brown Street and two storage lockers, one on Jackson Street and the other on Walnut Street.

While officers were searching Saxon’s apartment he was taken into custody, police said.

Some of the property found in the storage lockers was traced to several commercial burglaries in Napa during the past six months, the press release stated.

Napa police detectives will continue their investigation and will be contacting other Bay Area law enforcement agencies to possibly identify more victims.
