Napa Man Injured in Rollover Accident in Downtown Napa

Car crashes into 2 parked vehicles before rolling over on Main Street.

A 29-year-old Napa man was hurt early Monday morning in a rollover accident in downtown Napa.

Gilberto Solorio was a passenger in a silver Dodge Charger driven by Judith Mendoza Corra, 26, of Napa.

Napa Police Capt. Jeff Troendly said officers responded to a vehicle rollover in the 1800 block of Main Street just after 2 a.m. Monday.

Upon arrival, a Silver Dodge Charger was resting on its roof, facing north in the southbound lane.

The Dodge struck a Ford Expedition in the 1700 block of Main Street as it was traveling northbound, Troendly said. The Dodge veered into the southbound lane and struck a 1960s Chevy Travel-all Panel truck that was parked on the south curb.

Upon arrival, officers located the driver of the Dodge, Corra, who was outside the vehicle trying to get her unconscious male passenger to respond.

The unconscious passenger, Solorio, was removed from the vehicle by paramedics, where he regained consciousness and was transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center with a complaint of pain.

Solorio told officers that Mendoza was driving, as did an independent witness who had helped her out of the driver's seat, Troendly said.

Mendoza was also transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center where she was admitted with an unknown injury.

Troendly said it is suspected that Mendoza was driving while intoxicated.

She was cited and released for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Troendly said the report on the accident was still being completed. More details would be made available once the report was complete, he said.
