Napa Man Goes to Jail After Clipping Police Cruiser

A Napa man went to jail after he clipped a Napa Police vehicle that was parked on the side of the road

A Saturday night drive landed a Napa man in jail.

Napa Police officers arrested Jesus Morales, 48, on suspicion of DUI and child endangerment after he allegedly hit a parked police vehicle.

A Napa officer was on a routine traffic stop at 9:30 p.m., in the area of Silverado Trail at Hennessy Drive when Morales drove by in a minivan and struck his cruiser. The officer stopped Morales along Hennessy Drive and determined that Morales was DUI.

Morales has three children in the minivan -- ages 11, 10 and 12 -- according to police; no injuries were reported. The children were turned over to family members at the scene and Morales was taken into custody on suspicion of the DUI.
