Napa Man Flashes Loaded Gun Inside Petaluma Bar, Gets Arrested

A 24-year-old Napa man was arrested at Maguire’s Pub on Kentucky Street in Petaluma after allegedly brandishing a loaded firearm inside the establishment early Saturday, police said.

Curtis Paul was arrested at 12:34 a.m. by the Petaluma Police Department after officers were called by Maguire’s security workers, who claimed Paul threatened another pub patron with the handgun, police said.

Arriving officers found Paul at the end of the bar with a loaded .38 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun on his right hip waist band, police said.

The reported incident where Paul allegedly took the firearm out of his pants and brandished it during a verbal argument with a male was captured on security video inside the bar, police said.

The other involved male walked away to another location inside the bar, Paul then placed the handgun back in his waistband, and officers arrived and arrested him after a brief struggle, police said.

Paul was transported to the Sonoma County Jail where he was booked on charges of possession of a concealed firearm without a permit and brandishing a firearm at another person. His bail was set at $30,000.
