Napa Man Arrested with Bomb-Making Materials, Police Say

A probation search Tuesday morning turned up explosive powder and a funnel, landing Eddie Prusener, 46, in jail by afternoon, according to Napa police. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

A man identified as Eddie Ernest Prusener, 46, of Napa was arrested Tuesday afternoon on suspicion of possessing materials with the intent to make explosives, according to a press release from the investigations desk at the : 

On 8/14/12, at about 1100 hours, NPD Detectives and Napa County Sheriff Deputies assisted Napa County Probation Officers conduct a probation search in the 2300 block of Ruth Drive.

The resident, Eddie Prusener, was on probation with search and seizure terms. During a search of the residence, black explosive powder and a funnel consistent with making pipe bombs was located.

At 1405 hours, Prusener was located in the 1000 block of Third St and arrested. He was taken into custody without incident and booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections.
