Man Arrested on Suspicion of Domestic Violence

Napa man allegedly assaulted his wife, police say, during an argument

The Napa Police Department arrested 50-year-old Jaime Chicas on suspicion of domestic violence Saturday afternoon.

Police went to a home on the 2700 block of Soscol Avenue at 2 p.m., in response to a report of domestic violence. The officers discovered that Chicas and his wife were in an argument and Chicas allegedly assaulted his wife and made criminal threats to harm her, police said.

Chicas prevented the woman from leaving the home during the incident, according to police. In addition to the domestic violence charge, Chicas was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats and false imprisonment.
