Napa Man Arrested for Giving False ID, Outstanding Warrants

Also, Napa woman arrested in alleged domestic violence incident.


A 27-year-old Napa man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of giving a false name to police, probation violation and three outstanding warrants.

Nicholas Dean Alves was taken into custody at about 3:30 p.m. in the vicinity of West Imola Avenue and Minahan Street in Napa.

According to the police log, an officer was driving westbound on W. Imola Avenue near Jefferson Street, when he saw and recognized Alves sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle that was traveling westbound on W. Imola Avenue.

The officer knew Alves had several outstanding bench warrants for his arrest, police said.

The officer pulled the vehicle over and contacted Alves. When the officer asked Alves for his name, he allegedly provided the name of another person.

Alves was arrested for giving the false name, the bench warrants and for violating his current probation out of Napa County.

Alves was booked into Napa County Department of Corrections.

A 23-year-old Napa woman was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of domestic violence after an alleged fight at a home in Napa.

Amanda June Patterson was taken into custody at around 7:30 p.m. at a home in the 2000 block of Wilkins Avenue in Napa.

According to the police log, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2000 block of Wilkins Avenue for a report of a family disturbance.

 Officers arrived at the residence and contacted the victim, a man.

The man told the officers he and Patterson had gotten into an argument. When the man tried to leave, Patterson allegedly struck him several times with a closed fist in the face and head area causing a visible injury that did not need immediate medical attention.

Patterson was arrested for domestic violence and booked into Napa County Department of Corrections.
