A 32-year-old Napa man was arrested a week ago Saturday after police responded to a report of an incident at a home on Golden Gate Circle.
Charles Bonge was taken into custody after the 7:32 p.m. incident on Aug. 19 and booked at the Napa County Detention Center, police said.
Napa police just released the report on the incident today, Sunday, Aug. 26. There was no immediate word why the report was held for a week.
Napa Police Sgt. Aaron Medina, on duty Sunday, said he had not received any information on the reason for the delay.
According to the report, the incident was originally called in as a mental case. After police arrived, they determined that a domestic assault had occurred, and that Bonge had allegedly been in an argument with the victim in the assault the previous day.
Police said that the victim sustained visible injuries as a result of the argument.
According to police, Bonge also had two separate probation orders on him.
