According to the report, the incident was originally called in as a mental case. After police arrived, they determined that a domestic assault had occurred, and that Bonge had allegedly been in an argument with the victim in the assault the previous day.

Police said that the victim sustained visible injuries as a result of the argument.

According to police, Bonge also had two separate probation orders on him.
