Napa Man Allegedly Threatens to Poison Neighbor's Animals

Suspect taken into custody by Napa police.

A 24-year old Napa man was taken into custody by Napa Police Department after he allegedly threated to poison his neighbor's animals if his own dog was taken away and euthanized by Animal Control officers.

Police allege that Brandon Nimmer, of the 2800 block of Carlos Street, made the threat to a neighbor at about 3 p.m. Thursday after she called Animal Control regarding the conduct of Niimmer's dog.

According to police, the neighbor told Animal Control that Nimmer's dog "had got into [her] backyard and was very aggressive to her when she tried to walk outside," police said. Police said Animal Control followed up on the complaint but could not contact Nimmer at the time.

"When Nimmer got home he learned of Animal Control being called about his dog, at which time he made the above threat in the presence of a neighbor," police said. "Nimmer was contacted by officers and taken into custody."
