Multiple Drug Arrests Reported

Four people, three with existing police records, face fresh charges relating to methamphetamine, Oxycodone, drug paraphernalia, weapons and theft; a fifth was arrested on a warrant. Arrest information does not indicate convictions.

Napa police arrested have arrested four more people on drug charges, according to shift activity logs from the .

At 9:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the log, a 50-year-old woman was booked at the on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and paraphernalia as well as on a warrant for traffic violations:

Ida Mae Wolverton (1/22/62) of Napa was contacted in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Luckys store at 1312 Trancas Street. Wolverton was confirmed to have a warrant for her arrest for prior CVC violations and was placed under arrest. She was found to be unlawfully in possession of hypodermic syringes, and paraphernalia associated with illegal drug use. She was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Last Thursday night, a probation search resulted in the rearrest of 27-year-old Oscar Rios of Napa on a string of charges, according to the log:

On 4/19/12, at about 2100 hours, NPD Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) Officers conducted a probation search in the 1000 block of Johnston Street. Rios was on probation with search and seizure terms. During the search of the residence, Rios was found to be in possession of Oxycodone without a prescription. Metal/Brass knuckles were also located in the residence.

While searching Rios's residence, officers found "stolen checks from a previously-reported burglary and additional items of evidence" indicating his involvement, the log continues.

Rios was booked at the jail on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a dangerous weapon, burglary, grand theft, forgery, possession of stolen property and multiple violations of his probation, according to the log.

Napa residents Michael Austin Sharp, Jr., 28, and 48-year-old Judith Molina, also known as Griego, were arrested Friday afternoon, police said:

On 4/20/12, at about 1600 hours, SEU Officers contacted Sharp at the Napa River Shopping Center (River Park—ed.) in the 1600 block of W. Imola Ave. Sharp admitted possessing a small amount of methamphetamine on his person. A record check also revealed Sharp had outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was found to be in possession of stolen property from a residential burglary two days earlier. Sharp was arrested and booked at NCDC.

Officers obtained and served a search warrant at Sharp’s residence in the 1100 block of Shetler Ave. During the execution of the warrant, Officers contacted another resident identified as Judith Molina. Additional stolen property was located in the residence related to the recent burglary. Officers found Molina in possession of methamphetamine, a glass drug pipe and determined she was under the influence of a controlled substance. Molina was arrested and booked at NCDC.

Both Sharp and Molina/Griego were booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and possessing stolen property; Sharp was also arrested on his outstanding warrant and Griego for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia, according to police.

Napa police also reported the arrest Thursday of 21-year-old Joseph Angelo Lopez on an outstanding warrant for theft and vehicle tampering.
