Multi-Car Injury Crash Shuts Down Part of Hwy 12 Near Santa Rosa

A multi-car crash that has left at least one person injured is blocking lanes on state Highway 12 in Santa Rosa, according to police.

The crash was reported around 10:30 a.m. on eastbound Highway 12 at Melita Road and reportedly left someone trapped inside their car, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash is blocking all eastbound lanes on the roadway, according to the CHP. The CHP issued a Sig-alert at 10:52 a.m. and Santa Rosa police are advising motorists to avoid the area for the next hour.

Information about the extent of injuries suffered or the cause of the crash was not immediately available.
