Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Collision with Deer

Crash occurred this morning near Lake Berryessa.

A woman on a motorcycle was injured this morning when she crashed into a deer near Lake Berryessa in Napa County, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

Officers responded to a report of a crash involving a motorcycle on Knoxville Road near Pope Canyon Road at about 11:30 a.m., CHP Officer Eric Anderson said.

Arriving units found a female rider that had crashed into a deer and was ejected onto the roadway, Anderson said.

The woman was taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital with injuries that were not expected to be life threatening, he said.

The crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
