More Charges for Napa Man, Police Say

Booked last week for possession of stolen property, a 41-year-old man now faces a string of new charges. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

On 11-6-11 at about 0717, Reid called in a false report of a burglary on San Vincente Ave and reported he was chasing the “suspect.” 

The investigation revealed that Reid lied about the burglary and chase.

The nature of the report to 9-1-1 dictated an emergency response which put the safety of officers and public at risk.

While investigating that incident, a victim reported being burglarized by Reid the night prior and he was found in possession of stolen property from the victim’s residence.

Reid was previously arrested on 11-3-11 for possession of stolen property and was out on bail from that incident. 

Reid, 41, was booked for possession of stolen property, grand theft, false report of emergency and committing a felony while out on bail, police said.
