Man Jailed for Machete Threats, Police Say

He chased two other men and threatened to kill them, according to police. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

A 53-year-old Napa man was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats as well as on an outstanding warrant for battery, according to a shift activity log released by the :

On 03/14/12 about 2130 hours NPD Officers responded to an apartment in the 1700 block of Silverado Trail regarding a threats call.

During the investigation, Officers learned the suspect, Salvador Diaz-Ochoa, 53 years old of Napa, got into an argument with the two victims.

During the argument, Diaz-Ochoa armed himself with a machete and chased the two victims out of the residence.

While Diaz-Ochoa chased the victims he threatened to kill one of them.

Diaz-Ochoa was located and arrested.

A records check revealed Ochoa-Diaz had a misdemeanor arrest warrant for battery.

Ochoa-Diaz was booked at the , police said.
