Man Jailed After Stolen Car Recognized

A friend of the stolen car's owner recognized the vehicle and called authorities, according to Napa police. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

 

A Napa man celebrated his 40th birthday with a trip to jail Thursday night, according to a shift activity log released by the .

According to the log, police were called at about 8:50 PM to on Imola Avenue, where a stolen vehicle had been spotted by a witness who knew its rightful owner.

The witness pointed out the vehicle's driver to arriving officers, according to the log.

Christopher Mclellan, born Dec. 1, 1971, was taken for possession of the stolen vehicle and of drug paraphernalia and for violating probation, police said.
