Man Climbs In Window, Assaults Ex-Girlfriend, Napa Cops Say

Napa police made a series of domestic violence arrests over the weekend, including one in which a man is accused of entering a house through a window and beating his ex-girlfriend Saturday morning, according to police logs.

 

A 31-year-old man was jailed on suspicion of domestic violence Saturday morning after reportedly climbing into the window of a south Napa house and beating his ex-girlfriend, according to shift activity logs released by the :

On 06/09, Police were called to the 1400 block of Hemlock St. for an unwanted subject inside the house.

Officers arrived to find, Edwin Baiza, 2/7/81, in the bedroom of the residence. 

An investigation revealed Baiza was not a resident and had climbed in through a window.

Once inside he assaulted his former girlfriend resulting in minor injuries.  

Baiza's arrest around 10 a.m. followed two domestic battery arrests Saturday night, according to the police logs.

At about 8:20 p.m. Saturday,

Officers responded to a residence in the 4500 block of Linda Vista Ave. for a domestic disturbance. 

Suspect- Richard Bugaj (61 years) pushed his girlfriend (the victim) into a wall causing her to fall down and injure her ankle. 

Suspect- Richard Bugaj also hit the victim on the head while she was on the ground.  

Bugaj was booked at the .

Less than two hours later, at about 10:15 p.m. Saturday, police were called to quell a four-way fight that landed a man in jail, according to the logs:

Officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Sylvia Court for a report of an assault. 

Officers responded and contacted Suspect- Victor Cardenas-Manriquez (40 years) and three other subjects inside the residence. 

All four, including Suspect Victor Cardenas-Manriquez’s girlfriend, got into a physical altercation. 

Victor choked and caused visible injury to his girlfriend during the altercation. 

Victor also battered the victim’s adult daughter during the incident. 

Cardenas-Manriquez was booked at the , police said.
