Man Arrested on Suspicion of Burglary at Wine Train Building

Police arrested a man early Wednesday on suspicion of burglarizing the Napa Valley Railroad's Wine Train building in Napa.

Nathaniel Robert Britz, 39, of Napa, is suspected of breaking into a freezer and taking food items inside the building at 801 Eighth St. around 10:40 p.m. on Tuesday, police said.

Napa Valley Railroad police, who were monitoring surveillance camera footage, told Napa police the male suspect was wearing a green shirt, blue pants and had long, dreadlock hair.

Napa Valley Railroad police reported a second burglary at the building around on Wednesday morning at about 12:20 a.m.

Napa police saw the suspect climbing on the building to the second floor and standing at an open window on the north side of the building.

Napa Valley Railroad police unlocked the door to the building where the suspect was last seen and made contact with Britz, police said.

Britz was arrested for felony burglary and a misdemeanor violation of probation, according to police.
