Man Arrested on Methamphetamine and Other Charges

Jeffery Ray Mount has been booked into Napa County jail.

A 51-year-old man has been booked into Napa County jail on charges of transportation and possession of a controlled substance, as well as driving on a suspended license and violation of probation.

A Napa police officer stopped the suspect, Jeffery Ray Mount, for vehicle code violations in the area of Pine and Coombs Streets at about 10 p.m. Friday night, according to police logs.

A records check revealed Mount was driving with a suspended license and was on probation for a Napa County felony. Mount’s vehicle contained suspected methamphetamine and numerous prescription medication pills, according to the report.

Mount was placed under arrest and booked into jail.
