Lost Woman Died of Heart Disease, Exposure
Lost on a rainy night, Margaret Key succumbed to cardiovascular disease and exposure to the cold, according to this report.
The Napa County Sheriff's Office has released the cause of death for Margaret Key, according to a report in the .
Key, who was the subject of a days-long search after she disappeared on her way to a bridge game in Browns Valley on the rainy evening of Jan. 20, was found dead near her car by the side of a dirt road off Mt. Veeder Road Jan. 23.
Sheriff's Capt. Tracey Stuart told the newspaper that Key's primary cause of death was cardiovascular disease from high blood pressure, with exposure to cold contributing significantly.

Key evidently missed a turn after asking for directions at the night of her disappearance, and became lost on narrow, winding Mt. Veeder Road.
Key's Buick was spotted days later by a UPS driver who alerted authorities. A search and rescue team found her body nearby where she had apparently slipped down an embankment.
