Laptop Smashed, Man Jailed, Napa Police Say

Marvin Trudell, 49, was arrested Thursday night on suspicion of vandalism after breaking the computer of a person with whom he was arguing, according to Napa police. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Vandalism alleged

An argument landed a Napa man in jail Thursday night.

Officers went to a home on the 2800 block of Massa Drive at 10:35 p.m., in response to a report of a fight. Police determined that Marvin Trudell, 49, of Napa, was involved in an argument with another person at the home and smashed the victim's laptop computer, valued at $900.

Police took Trudell into custody on suspicion of vandalism.

Shoplifter arrested

A 42-year-old Napa gal went to jail Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of theft from Kohl's.

Police say Kathy Crabtree, 42, of Napa, went to Kohls at 5:55 p.m., and began taking things from the store. Store security detained Crabtree and called police.

The Napa officers determined that Crabtree took merchandise valued at $350 or less and attempted to leave the store. They took her to jail on suspicion of shoplifting.

According to police, Crabtree was on probation for a prior theft conviction at the time of her latest arrest.

Arrest information does not indicate convictions.
