Houseguest Accused of Grand Theft

A 22-year-old Napa man was jailed Tuesday night, almost two weeks after he was reported to have stolen the property of a man who had given him a place to stay, according to a shift activity log from the :
On 02/16/12 an NPD Officer took a Grand Theft report from the victim who lived in the 1700 block of Pueblo Ave.
The victim reported he let an acquaintance by the name of Zachery Thompson 22 years old of Napa stay at his residence for two nights.

When Thompson left, the victim noticed his laptop computer, wallet and a beaver coat worth over $3,000 had been stolen.
Thompson was also on CDC (California Department of Corrections) State Parole for theft-related violations.

On 02/28/12 about 2200 hours an NPD Officer located Thompson in the 2300 block of Old Sonoma Rd.
Additional evidence linking Thompson to the theft was obtained.
Thompson was arrested for Grand Theft and Violation of Parole.
