Napa Sheriff: Autopsy Finds No Foul Play in Homeless Man's Death

Thomas Milton Roswell, 59, was found dead Jan. 3 in south Napa.

An autopsy has found nothing suspicious in the death of a Napa man whose body was discovered last week in a tent in a field off Gasser Drive in south Napa, Napa Sheriff’s Capt. Tracey Stuart said.

Roswell’s body was found around 3 p.m. Jan. 3, in a northeast corner of a field near the Maxwell Bridge.

“There is no visible trauma to the body,” Stuart said.

The cause of death may not be disclosed until the results of toxicology tests performed at the autopsy are completed, she added.

Stuart said several empty bottles of alcohol were found near and in Roswell’s tent.

Stuart did not know who discovered the body.

I don't think it's been cold enough to freeze. I though heart-attack or a sickness (pneumonia) when I first read the article awhile back.

you can freeze to death without it being too cold outside ... especially if your core temp from sleeping outside and not getting proper fuel for your body is challenged.
