Why is it that people feel the need to join a Gang ? Is it a power thing or is it that they're too afraid to walk through life alone like the majority of young people here in Napa do ?

The sociology behind gang membership is most often described as meeting the need to "belong" - the gang becomes very much like a family to its members. I disagree that the majority of young people (or those of any age) walk through life alone.

No, they just walk through life without the need to join a gang .......
