A Napa County transient who was listed as a fugitive from the law nearly four months ago is no longer on the run, according to the .
George Wallace Countryman, 32, has been located in San Quentin State Prison, according to a update issued today.
Countryman had been wanted for failing to register as a sex offender, a felony, according to the original Crime Stoppers listing.
The state’s sex-offender database at meganslaw.ca.gov lists Countryman’s offense as “lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age” and states that he has been in violation of his registration requirements since late October, 2011.
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation inmate locator shows Countryman as having been first admitted to the state correctional system in June, 2006.
