Fugitive Friday: Online Pot Dealer Sought in Napa County

A Napa County man jailed last year for advertising marijuana on Craigslist is among this week's additions to the list of fugitives for which Napa Valley Crime Stoppers is offering cash rewards in exchange for anonymous tips leading to arrests.

Napa Valley Crime Stoppers, an Upvalley nonprofit that works with the Napa County Sheriff's Office and local media to combat crime in Napa County, is offering no-questions-asked cash rewards for anonymous tips leading to the arrests of fugitives on its wanted list.

This week's fugitives: 

Wanted for felony probation violation for selling or furnishing marijuana/hashish, William Carl Cuneo is described as a white male, born 01-19-1960, 5’10”, 175 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. Update: Cuneo was arrested Jan. 25, according to the sheriff's office.

Cuneo's probation was the result of a case that began more than a year ago when he and another man were arrested by Napa drug agents after allegedly advertising marijuana on Craigslist

An advertisement on the online service Craigslist may have seemed like a good idea at the time. After all, millions of people buy, sell and trade goods and services there every day.

But after a “concerned citizen” spotted their offer to trade marijuana for electronic equipment, two Napa men were arrested and accused of selling the illegal weed, according to an announcement from the Napa Special Investigations Bureau.

Wanted for felony failure to appear for receiving known stolen property, Michael Ray Jaquith is described as a white male, born 09-22-1987, 5’8”, 175, with red hair and green eyes. 

This is Jaquith's second appearance on the Crime Stoppers list: He was listed in September, 2012 for the original charge of receiving stolen property and arrested earlier this month, authorities said. Updated: Jaquith was arrested Jan. 28 in Napa, police said.

Wanted for felony contempt of court for transporting controlled substances, Jose Arturo Gonzalez, Jr. is described as a Hispanic male, born 04-19-1978, 5’11, 210, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Wanted for felony probation violation for possession of a controlled substance, Ireland Kane Lessard is described as a white male, born 04-19-1973, 5’7”, 150, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Wanted for felony probation violations for possession of controlled substances and being an unlicensed driver, Roberto Gomez Ortega is described as a Hispanic male, born 06-11-1975, 5’8”, 175, with black hair and brown eyes.

Ortega was previously listed by Crime Stoppers in February, 2012 for felony failure to appear on charges of possessing drugs and paraphernalia, stemming from a .

Eligible for cash rewards, anonymous tips can be made by calling the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-450-9543 or texting to 274637 with NVCS at the beginning of the tip.
