When you are arrested you are not kept in jail until your court date . You are released with the hope that you will show up for that court date . Apparently these individuals failed to do so and hence a warrant was issued .....

Do you have anything but your tiresome sarcasm? I am sure it sounds very "witty" in your own mind as you are typing away but a one trick pony gets boring really quick.

So, I guess we should just treat everyone like they're a dangerous criminal despite whatever crime they did, rather huge or petty??

Can't we do better than this, folks? My email inbox and even my personal Facebook page are filling up with complaints about the way so many hectoring, bullying and generally hostile comments are dragging down the level of conversation here recently. There IS a way to disagree without being rude, but the taunting, schoolyard-bully overtones have been increasing on our site since the newspaper paywall went into effect last month. It's truly unfortunate.

So, in a world of competence, I should be able to click on something that is a hyperlink on the "front page" and be linked to the cublject of the comment i clicked on, right ? So is there another, perhaps alogical convention, that allows one to actually navigate these patchy waters ? Or is this the land of the magic disappearing comments ? Because I thought I left there.

The mystery of the disappearing comments continues ..........................
Louisa Hufstader (Editor) September 08, 2012 at 11:12 PM
Comments can't disappear unless something goes wrong before they're finished posting. Otherwise they show up either online or in a moderation queue for my review. But they can be deleted by the person who created them, flagged as inappropriate by readers or rejected by Patch for violating terms. I don't delete user comments, but I can reject them if I want to. In that case, the commenter is informed by email, although the email address provided often turns out to be bogus.

I have a comment from a while back that is still 'pending'. It happens. :)
Louisa Hufstader (Editor) September 09, 2012 at 12:47 AM
It hasn't reached the "pending" file Belle - I check every day.
Belle (Orchid Lady) September 09, 2012 at 08:24 PM
I will have to look and see what thread I posted it on. It think it was on the 'Delegates check in a DNC' but I'm not sure.
Belle (Orchid Lady) September 09, 2012 at 08:28 PM
It was on the DNC thread with 48 comments, says "pending approval". Must be out in the ether somewhere? No big deal. ""Belle (Orchid Lady) 5:03 pm on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 Rep. Kid, I'm kinda "blah" on them both. I mean really, where did the energy go? Where did our "good candidates" go? I like Chris Christy, and I would of enjoyed to hear what he had to say but as a candidate. I also enjoyed John Huntsman, and wish he wouldn't have dropped out of the race for RNC nominee. I don't like Romney, not one iota, so I will be giving Obama another shot. I have to say I'm already looking forward to 2016 elections. Is that bad?""
