Update: Napa Grass Fire "Nearly Contained"

Napa County Public Works says First Avenue is closed from Coombsville to North, open from North to Hagen Road. A message from the Sheriff's Office indicates there are no evacuations planned and that the grass fire is nearly contained.

According to an alert message from Napa County Public Works, First Avenue remains closed between Coombsville Road and North Avenue, but the segment from North Avenue to Hagen Road has been reopened.

A message from the Napa County Sheriff's Office reads

Grass Fire Update: Fire nearly contained, no evacuations planned, however road closures still in effect for a few more hours. Cal Fire and City Fire still working on it.
