Firefighters Contain 5-Acre Grass Fire on Old Sonoma Road at Casswall

Napa-area firefighters have contained a five-acre grass fire at Old Sonoma Road and Casswall, officials said.

The announcement of the containment came at 2 p.m. Thursday.

Napa Police are asking motorists to avoid the area while firefighters do their clean up.  Some portions of the surrounding roads are closed at this time.

The fire started out as a one acre vegetation fire. Responding were Napa City Fire Department and Cal Fire.

No details were available on the cause of the blaze.
