Home located between Pleasure Cove and Markley Cove near Lake Berryessa.

Firefighters are still at the scene of a home that burned today on Highway 128 near Winters.

Cal Fire Capt. Frank Engelbert said the blaze was called in at 9:50 a.m. at the home at 7001 Hwy. 128, located between Pleasure Cove and Markley Cove near Lake Berryessa.

No one was home at the time and the cause of the fire is under investigation, Engelbert said. He had no immediate word on a damage estimate.

Engelbert said units from Cal Fire, Napa County Fire, Winters Fire Protection District and a water tender truck from St. Helena City Fire Department were able to knock down the blaze in about an hour.

Units are still at the scene overhauling the property for sparks and other lingering flames, he said.
