UPDATE: 24-Year-Old Napa Man Arrested After Fire at Napa Mobile Home Park

Zachary David Boyer allegedly had rifle at his home, police said.

A 24-year-old Napa man was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Sunday after he allegedly was found to have a firearm in his residence, in violation of the terms of his probation and in violation of his status as a convicted felon.

Police allegedly discovered the firearm at the home of Zachary David Boyer during the course of responding to a structure fire at the residence at 1700 Pueblo Ave. in Napa.

Police said that at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday, officers assisted Napa Fire Department with a structure fire at a residence in the 1700 block of Pueblo Avenue in Napa.  

Zachary Boyer, who lives at the residence, was contacted at the scene. Boyer is a convicted felon and currently on felony probation with terms not to possess firearms.

Officers conducted a probation search on Boyers residence. A .22 caliber Remington rifle was located in his charred bedroom. Boyer was placed under arrest for being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm and violation of probation.

He was booked into Napa County Department of Corrections, police said.

Napa Fire Department is currently investigating the cause of the structure fire.

Napa city firefighters responded to a structure fire Sunday evening at the Pueblo Mobile Home Park, 1700 Pueblo Ave., Napa.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was not immediately available.
