Fight Sends One to Hospital, One to Jail

Arrest information from the Napa Police Department does not indicate convictions.

After sending another man with head injuries Tuesday afternoon, a 51-year-old Napa man was jailed on suspicion of assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury, according to a shift activity log released by the :

The victim was contacted in the area of Soscol and Lincoln by Kenneth Allan Brooks, 3-10-60 Napa, and a verbal argument ensued. 

The suspect, who was known to the victim, initiated a physical fight with the victim and during the fight the suspect lifted the victim up and dropped him to the ground causing the victim to strike his head on the pavement.

The victim suffered injuries to his head and was to QVH ER for treatment. The suspect was contacted at the scene and arrested. The suspect is on Napa County Probation.

Brooks was also booked for violation of his probation following the noontime assault, according to the log.
