Dental records will be used to determine the identity of a male driver who was killed in a fiery crash north of American Canyon in Napa County early Sunday morning, a sheriff's spokeswoman said today.

California Highway Patrol officials said a 1995 Toyota Camry was traveling south on state Highway 29 at about 90 mph when it went off the west side of the roadway just north of South Kelly Road around 4:45 a.m.

The Camry struck a parked car and caught fire, according to the CHP. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was badly burned, and investigators will need to use dental records to confirm his identity, Napa County sheriff's Capt. Tracey Stuart said.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, Stuart said.
