UPDATE: Victim ID'd In Fatal Rollover on Hwy 29 in R.L. Stevenson Park

A female passenger, 74, suffered minor injuries.

UPDATED, Wednesday, June 11, 6 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol has identified the driver in a fatal crash today on State Highway 29 in Napa County as Vincent Garaventa, 75, of Napa.

Garaventa was driving a pickup truck south on State Highway 29 around 1:30 p.m. about six miles north of Tubbs Lane in Robert Louis Stevenson State Park when the truck veered off the road, down an embankment and crashed into a tree, according to the CHP.

Garaventa was killed in the crash, and a passenger, identified as 74-year-old Judith Garaventa, suffered minor injuries.

The truck was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

The California Highway Patrol is responding to a traffic fatality on State Highway 29 in Robert Louis Stevenson State Park in Napa County.

The CHP is currently conducting one-way traffic control in the area as crews work the scene, officials said.

The solo vehicle crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. when a vehicle swerved, rolled over and went down an embankment on the right side of the road, according to the CHP.

The CHP has not said when the scene will be cleared.
