Fake Napa Pimp Accused of Luring Teen with Paid Sex Offer

A 17-year-old Napa girl worked with local detectives to arrest a 47-year-old man she said had attempted to recruit her as a prostitute to "millionaires," while suspect Gonzalo Moran told them he just wanted sex, authorities say.

From the Napa County Sheriff's Office:

On August 28, 2012, a 17 year old female reported that on the previous Friday, Gonzalo Moran had offered her an opportunity to make lots of money by entering into “discrete relationships” with some millionaires he claimed to know. The victim told Moran she would have to think about his offer, then told her mother and followed up by reporting the incident to the Sheriff’s Office.

On September 5, 2012, at about 5:00 pm, the victim met with Moran at a public park on Laurel Street in the City of Napa, to discuss his offer. Moran told the victim she could make $150 dollars for having sex with the millionaires he would set her up to meet, but first she needed to go have sex with him. They discussed her being only 17 years old, and that the relationship would have to be concealed until she was 18.

Detectives who had the area surrounded, moved in and arrested Moran. Moran claimed he was not really running a prostitution ring, that this was how he approached women to have intercourse with him. He was booked into Napa County Department of Corrections for meeting a minor for sexual purposes.

Suspect Arrested:  Gonzalo Martinez Moran, 47 years old, of Napa.
