Elderly Woman Pulled to Ground, Has Purse Stolen at CVS Parking Lot

Napa Police search for male suspect.

Napa Police are seeking information on a man who stole an elderly woman's purse after pulling her to the ground in the parking lot of CVS Pharmacy at 1558 Trancas St., Napa.

Napa Police Lt. Debbie Peecook said the incident occurred at about 1:40 p.m. July 11 when the woman was opening the trunk of her car in the parking lot.

"She placed the purse on her left arm," Peecook said. "A male subject with dark complexion, 19-to-20 years old, with light brown hair, wearing dark-colored shorts and bright green short socks, took the purse from the victim."

Peecook said the woman, who was not injured, tried to hold onto the purse and was pulled to the ground in the process.

The suspect fled the scene. Peecook said the purse contained money, credit cards, personal effects and a cell phone.
