Early-Morning Fire at Elementary School

Firefighters are investigating the blaze at Bel Aire Park.

Students and teachers at found a smelly, messy scene when they arrived Monday morning, according to Napa photojournalist , who reports:

Just before 5 a.m. Monday, . responded to a fire alarm at Bel Aire Park Elementary School.

When the first engine arrived on scene they discovered that they had a fire burning between two portable classrooms.

Firefighters quickly controlled the fire, which is under investigation, Peebles said.

Arriving with his son, one Bel Aire parent used his phone to post on Facebook that "it smelled of smoke and there was foam in the street."

A school employee confirmed that students were relocated to another classroom following the fire.
