DUI Hit-Run Driver Had Baby Aboard, Police Say

The 2-week-old infant was not properly secured in the vehicle, according to this police report. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

A hit-and-run collision in a shopping-center parking lot Saturday landed a 23-year-old Napa man in jail on charges including felony child endangerment and DUI, according to a shift activity log from the .

At about noon, the victim called 9-1-1 to report she had been involved in an accident in the parking lot of the Silverado Plaza and the suspect had fled in his vehicle.  

A vehicle description and license plate was provided by witnesses and the suspect and vehicle were located by a Napa County Sheriff’s Deputy in the 4200 block of Big Ranch Rd.

The suspect, Adam Steven Gloria 11-21-88 Napa resident, admitted to being involved in the accident and fleeing the scene due to having a suspended license.  

In the vehicle with him were three passengers, including a 2-week-old infant.

The infant was found to be not properly secured in the vehicle; the suspect was found to be driving while intoxicated; the suspect admitted to driving recklessly while fleeing from the scene. 

Due to all the above factors, Gloria was arrested and booked for the above charges.  

Arrest information from the City of Napa Police Department does not indicate a conviction.
