DUI Driver, Pal Arrested for Attack in Napa

Confronted for driving recklessly, a Napa teen smacked one of the complainers with a bottle of booze as his comrade pulled a knife, police said. Both were arrested on a string of charges; three others were let go.

 

Two teenaged Napa men were arrested around 9:30 p.m. Saturday after a fight that required law enforcement officers from three agencies to quell the hostilities and take the aggressors into custody, according to a shift activity log released by the :

Officers were dispatched to report of a fight with weapons in the 400 Block of Pickwick Drive.

Upon arrival, Officers found numerous subjects in the street. One of the subjects had a laceration to his head from being hit with a glass bottle. The and Napa Valley Railroad Police also responded to assist.  

An investigation revealed Tyler Rochester, a 19 year old Napa resident was intoxicated and driving recklessly on Pickwick and Indiana.

Several neighborhood residents confronted Rochester about his driving when he stopped. 

Rochester responded by striking one of the victims with a glass bottle of liquor, causing the injury above. 

Dalton Lucero, an 18 year old Napa resident, also challenged the victims with Rochester.

Lucero produced a knife and displayed it in a threatening manner during the fight. Lucero hit one of the victims during the fight as well. Three other subjects on scene were associated with Rochester, but were released.  

Rochester was determined to have driven while impaired. He was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and DUI. 

, Rochester resisted officers during the booking process and the additional charge of resisting was added. 

The knife was recovered at the scene and Lucero was arrested for brandishing a weapon and battery.
